Five nights to build a bond with your horse, on the ground and in the saddle, without haste.
The experience
Here the point is not to be in the saddle all day, but to understand the horse. It starts with work on the ground and natural riding with Heidi (body language, pressure and release, timing) and continues with leisurely walks on the estate, in the Vergeria and up to San Rabano. In the free afternoons there is the possibility of drawing and painting, even without experience.
The program
- Day 1 · Arrival in the afternoon and, if there is time, meeting with the horses before dinner.
- Day 2 · Natural riding and ground work (session of about 3 hours, half on the ground and half in the saddle). Body language, pressure and release, timing, how to direct the movement. Possible barework in the field. Free afternoon, with optional drawing or painting (material provided).
- Day 3 · Vergeria and estate (2–3 hours). Horseback riding in the countryside with coffee and cake in Alberese. Free afternoon; bike rental in the area, for a fee.
- Day 4 · San Rabano (3–4 hours). In the Mediterranean scrub to the ruins of the abbey, with a picnic lunch.
- Day 5 · Estate and dam (2–3 hours). A simple ride, without lessons. Free afternoon to draw, rest or be with the horses.
- Day 6 · Departure after breakfast.

Who is it for
Riders from intermediate upwards, safe at three gaits, with balanced trim and independent hands. No experience of working on the ground is required. Groups of 2 to 4 riders.

Useful information
- Where: La Pulledraia, Alberese, inside the Maremma Park. Agricultural estate of 12 hectares with wine, oil, vegetables, fruit and honey of its own.
- Rooms: 12 rooms in Tuscan-Maremma style, all with private bathroom. Those traveling alone have their own room. Swimming pool overlooking the hills and the Park.
- Horses: Criollo, Haflinger, Anglo-Arab and crossbreeds, 150–160 cm at the withers, accustomed to the terrain and the long rein. Saddles mainly Australian trekking saddles.
- Cuisine: breakfast and dinner at the farmhouse, dinner all together. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free diets with advance notice.
- Arrival: transfer from Pisa at 4:30 pm (landing by 3:30 pm). Alternatively, train to Grosseto with pick-up at the station.
- Departure: after breakfast, at the airport at the end of the morning (flights from 14:00 onwards).
- Minimum age: 14 years.
The program may change according to the weather and the well-being of the horses, maintaining an equivalent experience.
