A week of walks in the Maremma Park, with free afternoons, Siena and the ride to the sea.
The experience
A journey on horseback with a more relaxed rhythm: you almost always go out in the morning and return to the same room every evening, with the afternoon free for the pool, a walk or simply the silence of the countryside. You cross the Maremma Park, the Vergeria and the Bosco di Lasso. The Maremma cows are observed closely, without working on them.
It is also suitable for those traveling with someone who does not ride.
The program
- Day 1 · Arrival in the afternoon and first meeting with the horses before dinner.
- Day 2 · First contact (3–4 hours). You get to know your horse, then work in the field and a ride on the estate. In the afternoon a scenic ride in the surrounding countryside.
- Day 3 · Vergeria and estate (about 3 hours). Ride in the Vergeria countryside with coffee and cake in Alberese. In the afternoon a quiet ride to see the herd in its daily life.
- Day 4 · San Rabano (approx. 4 hours). Climb in the Maremma Park to the ruins of the abbey, with a picnic lunch.
- Day 5 · Siena (day without horses). Excursion to Siena with free time between Piazza del Campo, cafes and shops. Return in the late afternoon.
- Day 6 · Bosco di Lasso and gin (3–4 hours). Among olive groves, meadows and hills. In the afternoon gin tasting at Frank & Serafico, with your own bottle.
- Day 7 · To the sea (6–7 hours). Woods and wild landscapes to the beach, horseback riding along the shoreline and packed lunch by the sea. If conditions permit, in the bareback water. Farewell dinner.
- Day 8 · Departure after breakfast.
